Well, I finally bit the bullet and gave Tabac a try. Regarding the scent, my first impression is, what's all the fuss about? There is some of granny's bingo purse in there, but unless you stick your nose in the puck, it's not overpowering. Better still, the scent doesn't linger, so it doesn't clash with even the mildest of aftershaves .
The lather, on the other hand, is magical; you could tape drywall with the stuff. Using my lather hog of a Chubby 2, it was easy whipping up enough lather for four passes.
It's not aroma therapy, but it's not as bad as some of the rumors imply. I'm glad I have it.
