I now have 5 simpson brushes that I've purchase just since spring. My first was the Chubby 2 and I've since added a Chubby 1, Classic 2, Duke 2 and Duke 3. All in best badger. Don't even ask me why, I know I don't need them all but I prefer them over the Parker and Edwin Jagger brushes that I was using. Nothing wrong with those brushes, but I really like the density and feel of the Simpson, also I guess they look nice. I've never noticed any of them shedding any hair at all, except lately the Chubby 2 sheds a hair or two almost every shave. I've probably used it 30 - 40 times only, and at first I never noticed any hairs coming loose. It's true that it has much more hair than the other brushes, but I'm a little concerned because I have read accounts of other guys getting lemons that shed. Is a hair or two shed at this point normal? Does anyone think that is is still in the 'break-in process? I'm curious, because it's a very expensive (to me) brush that feels luxurious and should last many years, imo. I appreciate any feedback. thanks in advance.
