Here's the story. After 40+ years of shaving with a straight razor I have returned to a DE. Long story. I sold several of my straight razors here on the BST & several on flea-bay. Prior to that decision I purchased these stones. I smoothed out the surface of the 4/8K stone & beveled the edges. Steel has never touched this stone. I was going to keep them to sharpen my knives, but for years have used Arks to do so and felt no reason to change. If it works don't fix it. These have been collecting dust, so I decided to offer them to you.
