NOT my wedding!
But my 28 year old son is getting married tomorrow to a wonderful girl. They have been together for over 4 years and well over 10,000 hours (for those who believe that in order to be good at something you have to practice for over 10,000 hours). My son has spent much of his adult life traveling the world in search of great waves to surf. The two of the them will be moving to Bocas del Toro, Panama to open a small business and surf some of the best waves on the Atlantic coast.
I have had to plan two shaves: one for the rehearsal dinner tonight and one for the wedding tomorrow. There will be no second chance to get this right. For me, these choices represent the best stuff in all of Shavedom:
Rehearsal Dinner Shave:
Prep: Mickey Lee PreShave Butter - Peppermint
Blade: Gillette Rubie (day 2)
Razor: Wolfman WR1 OC
Brush: Doug Korn D7 with a Whipped Dog Synthetic (24mm)
Soap: Mickey Lee Drunken Goat
AfterShave: Soap Commander Integrity
Wedding Shave:
Prep: PreShave Oil (Home Brewed: Avocado/Primrose/Castor/Apricot oils)
Blade: Gillette Rubie (day 3)
Razor: Wolfman WR1 OC
Brush: Rudy Vey Elongated Persian Jar with a Shavemac D-01 3 Band (24mm)
Soap: Santa Maria Novella
AfterShave: Soap Commander Integrity
For the rehearsal dinner tonight, I will do a one pass shave. Tomorrow, 2 or even 3 passes. Gotta get it perfect.
I have included 2 photos for your viewing pleasure. David and Ashleigh in paradise; and David doing his thing about as well as anyone can do it.
