Hi there, first post and I apologize if this is in the wrong spot. I'm hoping you guys might be able to help me.
I have a Merkur Progress that I've used for the last 10 years. Being really careless, I damaged the bottom piece (female screw hole, c ring and plastic piece) of the razor beyond repair. I still have the handle and head that are in great condition, so I'd really like to keep them in use. Even though the Merkur is one of my best shavers, the main reason I want to fix it is because it was a gift to me when I went to NYC with my family, so it has sentimental value also.
Have any of you guys had any luck getting a replacement part from Merkur? I figured they wouldn't be much help because I damaged it myself. Is there anyone on the forum that sells parts or a suitable self made replacement? Anyone have an old Progress they want to part out?
