Well today is Friday and that means tomorrow is SuperSpeed Saturday!!!!
I know only a few of us participate in posting pics in MSMSSS (Mike Swofford's SuperSpeed) thread, but I enjoy it. There is another reason why I enjoy SuperSpeed Saturdays so much. To me its more than just shaving with a SS. Please follow along as there is a mix of ideas/feelings and I am horrible at putting them into words.
Saturdays always remind me of going to the barber shop with my old man. The smell and the environment. For this reason I always end up going with a classic barbershop scent on Saturdays. It reminds me of the way things were and how beautiful the world seemed. I was unaware of the problems that affect society and the world around us.
After reading about Mike's passing I discovered what type of person Mike was and his interests. I read other member's accounts of the type of person Mike was. I have to admit, I did not know Mike. But from what other members posted about him, its safe to say he was a gentlemen. I also discovered Mike's thread about SuperSpeed Saturdays. http://ift.tt/1KB4Mbt
When I pick up my SuperSpeed on Saturdays, I take time to think about Mike. More precisely, I think about the "Mike's" of this world. Gentlemen like my father and grandfather. This forum is filled with gentlemen who conduct themselves as such everyday. The world is not perfect, but there are plenty of good men and women still around. SuperSpeed Saturdays remind me that the world is not lost. That is what I enjoy the most about SuperSpeed Saturdays.
