After that Arkansas stone thread I gave in a bought a hard Arkansas stone. In a couple weeks I'm also planning on a hard black ultra fine. These will be 6x2x1 stones. I know they will take some extra strokes to get where I'll need to be but I sure like that size for hand honing.
So my plan is setting the bevel then go to a washita>hard ark>utra fine black.
