Today I found a second hone, a Perfection Barber Hone I believe, the other hone I have had a while, the grit of the perfection is smoooooooth, and the grit of the other hone is smooth but not like the first one. I decided to dig out a cheap razor I picked up that had a decent looking edge and decided to give it a try, first I used the coarser hone, then the perfection hone, then the balsa strop with green then red side, then strop with leather strop and finished with linen strop. And it worked, I am not sure really what I did but not a bad shave this am. Ok now to what do I do, I do not know about if a hone should have water or oil or none at all, how many times to strop, how can you tell if you need to lap the hone, etc. any and all comments would be appreciated, thanks
