I wanted to try a LC, and found this one for $15 on the internet. Seemed like a good buy since the teeth were straight, finish on the cap and base seemed good, and the handle had no cracks. When it arrived yesterday I was very pleased, the plating on the head which appears to be a '21-'28 Old Type is almost 100%, much better than the handle which seems odd. Actually it looks like the head is plated in nickel while the handle is definitely silver. Is this a mismatched set? Did they plate...
