This was a fun project. Until now is never heard of Chicago brushes...but this one was a little touch. Much of the paint had worn off and the boar knot was all but gone.
After removing the knot, I managed to attach it to my drill, held in a vice, and sanded it clean. A coat or two of stain on the lovely handle and lacquer and it really began to shine.
