I bought a tin of the CRSW Select v2 Lavender a few weeks ago thanks to some discussion on this board regarding soaps vs creams. I really wasn't sure what to expect given that the creams I was using (T&H and StJoL) were performing well. Also, I had never used a tallow product before and read all sorts of reviews about soap not lathering correctly.
I am happy to report that this soap is absolutely magnificent. The first few things I noticed is that the soap loads fast, lathers quickly and is slicker than the creams I use. But the real mindboggler is the postshave feel. BBS feel even if a do a relatively quick 3 pass shave + minor touchup.
Best part is that the prices are lower than for my current creams and this should last me quite some time. I was so pleased that I just ordered some of the postshave tonic and after shave balm.
At some point, I will also try the Oliva line of soaps. Cannot recommend highly enough.
