Got home on Friday to a small flat rate box sitting on my desk. I didn't expect to be up on the list for a couple weeks, so it was a really nice surprise to see it there!
6 Razors arrived, all labels and tucked into the toothbrush holders. Man that is a great idea, once I start my collection, I am going to for sure have to use this storage method.
I decided to pick one at random and decided on the Quaker to use as my first razor from the lot.
I also decided to keep the soap the same throughout using the razors to remove variable that may have an effect on the shave as I'm mainly interested in the 'feel' of the different blades and the quality of the shave the blade provides. The soap will be Arko as I know that I can get a great lather from it every single time I use it and the lather I get from it is very slick and does not vary from use to use. The brushes I will be using will all be restored vintage brushes using well broken in boar knots.

The feel of this razor is actually fairly stout. The weight is about the heaviest out of the razors provided in the box. I start with a WTG pass and noticed right off that the razor does not have much audible feedback at all, it just slid right through the first pass pretty easily. The under the nose area went pretty easily as well, even with the wide blade as the balance of the razor really helped to get it in there and get up close under my nose. The weight of the razor seems to help with the WTG pass a bit and the razor feels well balanced in-hand. Relathered and moved to the XTG pass and that pass went very smoothly as well.
At this point I give my face a rinse and relather for the ATG pass. The razor performed really well with the ATG pass as well. The balance of the razor was a little different at this point as my grip on the razor is different for the ATG pass vs. the WTG and XTG passes. One thing that did stand out is that the ATG pass went really well, without any pulling or tugging at all.
Finished up with some touch-up under the chin and applied some OS. Very little sting or burn at all with a shave that I would rate a very good BBS.
