I have an old Larkin that's been a good shaver but it has some micro teeth going on at the toe. I have a Chosera 1k but can't tell if this hone is creating new chips as it removes old ones. The blade has a very brittle feel to it but shaves well otherwise. I ordered a Shapton 1.5k and I'm thinking I'll cut in a new bevel at a slightly finer grit. Any thoughts about bevel set hones actually creating chips or am I imagining things? Lightfoot out!
