So today my power went out due to high winds and rain. I happened to grab my UV flashlight to go to the bathroom. It is then that I noticed my brushes where glowing differently. My badger brush did not glow at all, my boar btistle brush was glowing yellow, and the Chinese synthetic/boar mix had faint stripes of yellow from the sparse boar bristles, mixed with mostly synthetic bristles that glow a faint purple.
With this info, and a cheap uv flashlight, you can easily check how much of what bristles are in our mixed brushes.
