Hi all,
I had a straight razor restored a while back that was my barber great grandfather's and I used it a few times. Fun stuff. Didn't have any trouble transitioning from a DE to a straight, albeit much slower. But I don't want to go too crazy with such an old antique and I'm not quite ready to buy another one and go full on needs a strop, sharpening stone, and etc to maintain it, so a shavette seems like a good choice for now. I'll still mostly be DE, but a relaxed weekend shave with a straight is kind of the plan.
Any advantage to the Dovo's that cost twice as much as the Parkers? Dreadnought is in between, price-wise. Any other recommendations? Shavettes are relatively inexpensive so cost isn't really an issue, just performance and ease of use.
Any comments are appreciated!!!
