I would like to start a discussion on some of the great wine regions of the world. What makes a Red Burgundy a Red Burgundy and not just a plain old Pinot Noir? Why does a Riesling taste so different in Washington than it does from Oregon and certainly from the Mosel?
Here we can talk about the varietals and even the soil, climate, sun, rainfall, and everything else that makes a plot of land unique that makes a great, and in some instances word class, wine.
