With the scales off, I was scratching my head for what to do about some grungy, corroded, fine jimps. Ever seen those? I imagined a fine brass brush, but wasn't sure I could find one in my stack of stuff. Maybe a rifle bore cleaning brush? That would probably work ok, but not too ergo. Then I remembered my much loved file card. Worked a treat getting those jimps back.
If you have files, and use em, but don't have a file card: shame on you. They do almost as good for your filing as they do for your fine jimps.
