I spend a lot of time in the field hunting and camping and always like to carry a stone for touching up knives and broad heads. I usually carry a small coticule bout in my pocket or pack, but after almost losing it a couple of times I wanted something different, so I picked up an old Western USA leather sheath and stone a while back and decided to put it to use. I replaced the origional (cheap) two sided synthetic stone with a vintage coticule, and to give myself a little more range I glued a medium DMT credit card plate to the back of the BBW. The leather handle also doubles as a strop and makes this a very versatile and compact field stone.
Stone measures 3" x 1.5" and 1/2" thick.
