Slightly biased answer (I've been a head shaver for the past 15 years):
Go for it!
Tags can be removed (my dad uses fingernail clippers) by several methods. Moles are super easy: just go slow and use no pressure on the mole.
Have fun, if you don't like it, or find it is too much work to maintain, it grows back pretty quickly.
