all the original period advertising for Gillette razors for the womens market was "shave under those arms, and be polite to see in the new strappy dresses of the 20s"
but when I see European womens razors from Europe in the 20s and 30s, the marketing is more for "lets get those legs shaved girls." and "the unmentionable" areas.
is that more cultural issue between usa and Europe, or a hygienic disposition difference?
