Tiki brush questions

I only have a cheap boar brush that came with my Target acquired VDH set. I was thinking about upgrading to a badger to see what the fuss is about. I Typically puck lather with the VDH or some Guinness stout beer soap a friend got. I just got some Synergy soaps the other day that I have mug lathered with (The Punkin' 3.14 smells great). I found a cool little tiki statue rendering that I am thinking of having 3d printed for a brush handle. I was thinking 24mm. What size would be best for my use? What depth should I have it mounted? How much bigger should the hole be? 1mm extra for glue? I know WD will drill an up to 20mm. Would that be needed for a silvertip? I have heard Virginia Sheng makes nice knots, and her prices seem good. I am new, and know just enough to know I don't know. Thanks for any and all advice
