It breaks my heart to do it, but I am thinning the herd and these do not get to stay in the pasture. But speaking of pasture, that is pretty much where they have been. I have quite a few others that seem to be in my regular rotation. These just don't get used...not to mention SWMBO saw the interior of the vault (at least she didn't freak over the 1911s!). So here they are from top to bottom in the pictures:
#1 - Robert Williams SRP Custom - $325 - This amazing razor is probably the best shaver I have, but I can't get used to the smile. It is a 6/8 blade with blue G10 scales and a black spacer. Perfect balance and a bit of a challenge to strop but you get used to it. I have only used it twice. Comes with original jewelry style case, outer box, and allen wrench.
#2 - An 11/16 Bartmann - $200 - See the detail pic below. I do not know a whole lot about this one. Bought it from Strazors in Israel. He did a complete refurb on it in August. Beautiful original (per STRAZORS) scales and amazing etching on the show side. Comes with original coffin case.
#3 - Ralf Aust 6/8 - $175 - This is a really nice Ralf 6/8 blade with Olive wood handles. Have shaved with it twice. Comes with the coffin case and certificate for a free honing.
#4 - Hart Artisanal Custom - $300 - 6/8 antiqued blade with hand stippled black resin scales. This is a Bruce Gregory custom made straight. Other than the three listed here, I have four more of Bruce's blades. He makes an amazing shaver. Comes with original box. I bought this here on the BST a few months ago from kcnwea. I just don't use it. So it is available to a shaver who will have a greater appreciation for it.
#5 - Hart Artisanal Custom - $250 - I bought this from t-haw a few months back...another that sees no use. It is a 7/8 blade with black linen scales and a red spacer. No box with this one. This is probably the heaviest razor I have owned. Good for a guy with likes a stout blade. It really is an amazing piece...just not for me. Another one by Bruce. Never used it.
#6 - Hart Artisanal Custom - $325 - Beautiful polished 6/8 french point blade with snakewood scales. Comes with the original box and goodies included.
