Awaiting the arrival of my assortment of blades, soaps, and after shaves from Garry's Sample Shop.
I needed to shave today and couldn't resist. I was in the shower (I shave in shower) and reached for my Edge shave gel (don't judge old habits) and it was empty. So I grabbed my wife's cream stuff she uses for legs. Normally that would be a bad start to the day :(
I got the closest shave I ever had. The blade still felt mild and not at all aggressive. I missed a few spots around my mouth being cautious of my lips but other than that it was amazing. No nicks or anything. My skin is a touch dry but I basically abused it today.
I can't imagine how awesome it will be with a touch of oil followed by a nice hot lather brushed on followed by a soothing aftershave. Other than taking me 15 minutes it was superb.
