I haven't nicked myself in many weeks and got a bit careless touching up this morning. It was my worst nick to date - on my chin, fairly deep and bleeding A LOT. Cold water or holding alum to it didn't even seem to matter for minutes; it didn't even sting. I thought the blood flow may have created a cushion preventing the alum from reaching it very good (but I don't know).
It stopped after many minutes (maybe 5 minutes) and the resulting nick is just barely noticeable now.
There must be a better way - is there a better product or method you'd suggest in times like this?
