What are your thoughts on the NEW short comb and long comb? I've read a lot of positive things about these razors and some would even rate them as the best shavers Gillette has ever produced. I'm very curious about them and have been trying to get a handle on what kind of shave I might expect from them if I were to try and track one down. Is one more aggressive/effective than the other? Is one smoother than the other?
How does their aggressiveness/shave feel compare to other razors? I'm trying to get an idea of how they would place among razors I've already tried. I've ranked the razors I've tried below according to my experience of most aggressive to least aggressive. Razors next to each other could be a tie.
Cadet Lil Bastone OC - too aggressive and a bit too uncomfortable for my taste
Fatip OC - another one that was too aggressive and too uncomfortable for me
RazoRock SLAB - I LOVED this razor. It was a smooth, comfortable shaver with the perfect level of aggressiveness
Merkur slant - it wasn't a bad shaver but I didn't like it enough to keep it
Slim - I like this razor a lot and currently shave with it set on 5 or 6
Fat Boy - same as the Slim for quality of shaves.
Edwin Jagger DE 89 - I really liked the comfortable shaves I got from it but hated the slippery handle and sold it.
Matador El Cabellero - shaves pretty much like the EJ DE89
Super Speed - I was really neutral on mine. I didn't dislike it or its shaves but I wasn't in love with it either and sold it
Tech - I love the Tech and despite its reputation as being mild, it gives me great shaves with no irritation
