Haven't tried the straight yet. I am awaiting my first one to try.
I expect that I will stick with it.
I have fallen in love with the Mastro Livi razors and am going to commission one.
I know you will say wait and see if I like straight shaving but (1) I am an impatient fool and (2) even if I pack it in I would still cherish that great piece of art.
I have read that round end is the go for a beginner and I assume it will still be good for a seasoned pro. Interested in thoughts on this. The other ends look cooler (I especially like the French) and I would go away from round if appropriate.
But the size has me stumped. I love the big blade but it probably doesn't suit. What size would you guys recommend for someone who will start slow but wants a blade to use for a lifetime?
