Disaster In South Texas

I think everyone knows by now about the bent tooth on my original, favorite English Goodwill. I was crushed. However, with the help of my very good friend I was able to source 5 more, two of which shave as close as can be expected to the original.



Well, make that one now. I whacked my head on Saturday and took a chunk out of my skull about the size of my thumb. So, I took a couple of days off work and shaved last night. Dropped the razor right at the end of my shave. Corner tooth bent outward at 45 degrees. I'm surprised it didn't snap off honestly. There was no shaving with it the way it was, so I decided to try to bend it back. I know, I know. I used a torch lighter to heat it up well and gently bent it with the pliers. Got it pretty close to straight, but I pushed my luck. Snap. Oh well, it was so weak that it wouldn't have lasted anyhow. I could feel it through the pliers.



Down to one good example now, so I am putting the damn thing in my safety deposit box until I have 20 replacements. Seriously. I've only had 2 razors fall/drop. What are the chances that both of those result in bent/broken teeth on my absolute favorite razors. Excuse me while I throw up......
