The items in this PIF are boring. I'm not going to lie here. Having said that, I have too much stuff and I feel the urge to enable someone into fountain pens, so here are the things I'm giving away.
I'll pay for shipping in the USA, and everyone's available to be in for this one. If you're outside the USA and win it, we'll have to talk about shipping costs because this will be a decent-sized shipment.
What's in the PIF?
1 Pilot Metropolitan fountain pen, medium nib, plain black. A modern workhorse; today's version of the Parker 51. Probably the best starter pen under $20 out there.
1 bottle of Noodler's Black. Boring, but it works on every paper out there. This is the 4-1/2 oz "eyedropper" bottle. The label is stained as I purchased it as a "bottom shelf" item from the Goulets, but the ink inside is fine. I'll also throw in a sample tube so you can fill from that instead of trying to eyedropper a converter.
1 "NOS" Piccadilly Medium Notebook, in black. Originally from Borders. With 240 pages, it's probably enough to write a good chunk of a novel or a memoir. This isn't bad paper for fountain pens either.
1 (mostly full) No. 16/A5 Rhodia DotPad. I bought this thinking dot paper was going to be cool... and it is; unfortunately it doesn't work for my handwriting very well. I've used about ten sheets of 80 in the pack. Obviously, the paper is not black, but the staple-bound cover to the paper is.
One entry per person, and I'll close this by 11:59pm PDT on July 4th. If you declare yourself in, complete the following statement:
When I when this PIF, I'm going to use it to write...
Good luck!
