I have not used my Cast Iron Dutch Oven for 12 + years. I had lost the lid so just put it away.
Well I finally bought a lid. The Dutch Oven is a unknown brand and the lid a Lodge, so was always going to be a risk if poor fit.
The lid arrived this week and the two did not quite go together but close.
I have just finished grinding the lip on the pot. Just need to clean up the rough edges, give it a good clean and it is good to go for many more years.
