We had a surprise birthday cookout for my dad today and as we were all sitting out back the subject of conversation turned to wet shaving. I was unfortunate to never getting to meet my grandfather due to his passing shortly before I was born. My dad always talks about how much he would have loved us and I enjoy listening to the stories he tells me about him. While the subject was on wet shaving my dad mentioned he still had one of my grandfathers old razors, went inside and brought it to me to look at. Low and behold it was a Gem. He then stated it was mine to keep and must stay in the family. Obviously I have no plans for it to ever leave the family.
Its a little rough now but I plan on giving it some TLC. Looks like it should clean up real nice and I cant wait to give it a try. I have only owned it for about 2 hours now and no matter what other razor I will ever own, this one will always be my favorite and most cherished!
Sorry about the sideways pics. Curse of the cell phone.
