Straight FS: Straights: Heljestrands and others, Rooney Beehive, 2/1, IKON OSS, OC, Shavecraft

I had a big tax bill this year (bigger than usual), and I just can’t bear the thought of dipping into savings, so I am getting rid of some items that don’t see much use. Help them find a new home! In all cases I am asking less than what I paid. If pricing looks off let me know. Buy two and I’ll knock off $5, Buy three and I’ll knock $10 off the total. Et cetera. I do consider reasonable offers. Not looking for trades, as Uncle Sam is not much of a shaver—have you seen his picture lately?



Shipping is included, on items over $100 I will include insurance and signed-for delivery. CONUS only.



Here is what I have, pictures are below. I’ll check messages every half hour then in the AM, so if I don't get back to you right away don’t worry.

1. R. Defosse, 6/8 wide. I’m asking $85 shipped.


2. Frederick Reynolds 13/16" hollow ground, made in Sheffield. The mirror finished blade and tang are rust free with NO chips and NO cracks with minor pitting in a spot or two. Bevel looks good but needs a touch up. This has been repinned. No case. I’m asking $90 shipped.


3. Kropp Razor, 6/8” wide round point. Has some rust spots and other markings on the spine, some rust still on the tang. I cleaned a lot of it up, it just needs some more elbow grease. Scales are in nice condition. Case has seen better days. Not shave ready. Asking $45, shipped.


4. Edvard Neistrom No. 62. Was advertised to me as NOS but I can see that it has paid a visit to the hone. Sharp, but I think it needs some polishing on the stones. Otherwise, it is outstanding condition and as close to new as they come, it is that clean. comes with original case, which is also pristine. Given the condition, I am asking $110 shipped.


5. Kropp razor, 7/8” round point. I really debated selling this one as they are a bit hard to find and I know I will never see another, but I have other razors that see more use. Huge 7/8” blade is in remarkable condition, pinning is tight and scales are very clean. Case is in excellent shape as well. I have shaved with it and it yields an acceptable shave, I think it is 95% there. given the size and the condition, I am asking $170.00 shipped


6. CV Heljestrand Mk. 31, 5/8 in ivory scales. Purchased from GreekGuy, this is a sweet shaver that is unfortunately not seeing much use. Thumb notched MK31 measuring 5/8" in ivory scales. The blade has some very light tarnishing here and there but is otherwise in excellent condition. This is a beautiful blade. No case. I’m asking $180, shipped.


7. Heljestrand Royal Kindal, 11/16.” Also purchased from GreekGuy who said,"This blade is overall in very good condition. It has a few minor waterspots and tarnish that some time and polishing should take right out. Blade has a very slight half smile towards the toe, measuring a hair over 6/8 at its widest point to a little over 11/16 at the toe. Near the shoulder on the back side of the blade there are some lines which at first glance look like cracks, but are not, they are remnants from its molding.”


8. No case. Asking $90 shipped.


9. Brushes: I have two Rooneys that don’t see much use. The first is a #2 beehive in super badger. Wonderful thick knot and beefy handle really set this brush apart. Knot 25mm, loft 51mm (or so), base is 50mm. Comes with box. $140 shipped


10. The second Rooney is what I believe is a 2/1 in silvertip. Super soft. Knot 23mm, loft looks to be 46mm (give or take), handle is 50mm. No box. Asking $55.


11. DE razors: I have a couple. First up is a Muhle R41, 2013 model. Gives a nice aggressive shave. I have an ATT so I don’t need this one. Box included. Asking $45.00


12. I also have a Shavecraft 101 razor that needs a new home. Asking $45. No box.


13. Two Ikons: I have one OSS and one OC model. Both have the Bulldog 2 handle and the original box. Both were purchased brand new by me. and have only seen a few shaves. $85 each, which includes shipping.
