I recently posted about my confusion regarding the allure of alcohol-based aftershaves. On a whim, I used my sabbatical exception to get a bottle of Myrsol Agua de Limon to see what Myrsol was about.
I learned some things, both about that aftershave, and about myself:
1) the purpose of an AS is to sanitize and heal the skin after shaving. Alcohol sanitizes. I just needed to strap up and accept that as part of the deal.
2) this version of Myrsol's scent goes away pretty quickly, leaving the skin with a clean feeling. As a troop, I can't smell like aftershave all day. That's a deal-breaker for me. Myrsol meets the intent.
3) why limit myself, though? There are a lot of products to try. I should really get after it. Shenanigans, I'm chuckin' deuces!
I just sent a bottle of Myrsol and a bottle of RazoRock Evil Eye Lime aftershave to my brother. He'll see things my way shortly.
