Tonight I had the best shave since I've started with a DE. My prep tonight:
1. Soak pure badger brush in hot water while I showered.
2. Also while I showered I soaked my merkur 23C in hot water in my shave bowl.
3. Once I got out of the shower I squeezed the water out of the brush and then I poured the water out of the bowl. I left about 3 drops of water in the bowl and used about a almond sized squeeze of proraso green in the bowl and went to mixing up my lather. Today was my best lather mix up to date.
4. I went 2 passes with the grain and 1 pass against the grain. Getting better at shaving against the grain.
5. Aftershave was proraso aftershave.
Knock on wood so far I am about a month into DE shaving and I haven't had one nick or weeper and no irritation.
