Just got this Blue Grip Shaving bowl as a birthday gift from my wife (I picked it out). Only the top of the bowl is glazed. The rest of the bowl is not glazed and neither is the inside of the bowl. The bowl has ridges along the inside as well as the bottom of the bowl. Fits nicely in the hand and does not feel slippery as you hold it while lathering. Very impressed with this bowl. Creates a great lather with either soap or cream. Price is $27
