The competitors in this blade war are a currently manufactured and a vintage Gillette Platinum-Plus. The new blade is made in Brazil and available in 3-packs in many American drugstores and supermarkets for 3-4 dollars. To the best of my knowledge, the vintage blades were made in the U.S. and sold for $1.99 per 10-pack in the 1970s
