I have an un-notched 40s style Super Speed, which from what I understand, would date it as a 1947. I have other pre-date code versions too- one says "package" and the other two say "pkg." Some have raised rings at the riser bar and one doesn't. They are all fun and wonderful razors. Hard to say one is better than the other. I will say though that the 1947 is the most aggressive (including my Red Tip) yet still very smooth. A bit of the plating is rough but no real damage. I love these...
