Why do I keep doing this to myself.R41 and AS-D2

Every few month I pull out the good old R41 thinking It will be different this time. Wrong! It's way too aggressive and I end up with one irritated face. Same goes for the AS-D2, which I want to love so much, but it is way to mild and I end up getting irritated that way as well. I keep saying never again but here we are!

I get a DFS from my DE89 with a feather blade every time. I've bought way too many razors that are much more expensive and just don't measure up.

Why can't I just be happy?
