I just had a shavette style razor delivered today. You dont have to snap the DE blades in half. Just pop the whole blade in and shave away. Easy as pie. Equinox is the brand. 10 whole bucks. I was nervous as heck before shaving with it cause the blade exposure looks to be an 8th of an inch. I thought it would slice me like fileting a fish, but to my surprise it was very comfortable with a ton of feedback, and got a nice shave for the first time using a new razor. Two small small nicks, one on my left cheek and one on right chin. Dissapeared instantly with alum block. The razors cutting head is thick, heavy, and well made. Seems like it should last. The scales on the other hand are pure trash, white plastic, and flimsy, though good looking from a small distance. Im thinking a good candidate for some custom handcarved wooden scales would make this a sweet sweet sweet razor! Lol. Im happy if you cant tell!
