I haven't had a Ford truck, but a GMC. I always buy used. The biggest issue I have seen on any Ford vehicles is with the transmission. If it is maintained according to the manual, it should be good. If not, it can spell trouble. What are you looking to use the truck for? I tow with mine, and purchased with that in mind. If you are looking to haul light loads, a 150 will do well. If towing, look at the suspension, total towing capacity, gross vehicle weights, etc.
