I've been DE shaving for 4 months. So far, so good. This morning I tried shaving against the grain, very gently, and it went pretty well, EXCEPT, my chin is red and I feel a little burn in general. While my technique is improving, I'm wondering if shaving against the grain will get easier over time? I've heard that one's face gets used to DE shaving over time, but as a medical person I find that hard to wrap my head around. More likely one's technique improves.
While I've read many posts that say don't shave against the grain, I'm wondering how/if that can become possible (since many people successfully gain shave ATG) over time so that it doesn't result in irritation, etc.?
