I've been bowl lathering for a few years now because that's what I learned. However, I now find that sometimes I want or need to shave and I don't have the time or desire to spend the extra time, so I tried face lathering. I am using a razorock plisoft brush and Arko stick. I tried just wiping the stick over my wet face right after a shower, then squeezed most of the water out of the brush and began.
I just couldn't find a way of adding enough water to the brush without it just running out of it.
So I need some ideas on how to get a quick face lather that only needs to be good for a one pass with touch ups. Maybe I'm putting too much on my face to start? I tried once to load the brush a bit in the soap, but I ran into the same problem. The water would run out of the brush before I could work the lather up on my face, leaving what was left too dry.
There must be some of you face latherers out there who know how to get a quick one pass shave. Share your techniques and procedures.
Thanks!
