I just so happen to have been using one of mine all this week. It's got some pesky corrosion but still shaves smoother than most of my razors.
This was a head from a slant razor similar to a Merkur 36, a three piece from the '60s, which allows me to use a Weber handle.
Shaves similar to the modern Merkur 37C -- ever so smooth, even with that raw zinc alloy showing.
I say, if you get a chance to buy one, add it to your collection.
