I took a chance and picked up an NT Vigour. It's been discussed here previously, with some positive comments.
The box is pretty nice, though I think you can see there was a bit of shipping damage. It was packed pretty well with bubble wrap, but not inside another box. I don't really care about the state of the box, however.
The brush is probably not worth using, but I'm judging it by how it looks.
The razor is heavy and the parts snap together soundly. The adjuster is smooth, but I was expecting some notches for each setting. It will adjust a full turn past 6, and just a bit under 1.
The blade alignment is not perfect and takes some fiddling. I've not really found a pattern for it. But it's not just side to side, but one side of the cap sometimes sits higher than the other. I read somewhere to be sure to put the thumb end of the cap to the left when the adjuster bar is facing you. I do think that helps.
I've had two shaves with it so far (after trying to align the blade as best I could) and they have been really good. I used a Rapira Platinum Lux the first time and a GSB the second time, both on 1.
I think the blade alignment problem will bug me, so I think I'll contact the seller. I'm not expecting much there, but who knows. I'm also considering a Merkur Futur. Problem is, people have reported the same issues with that razor, so it's also a bit of a risk.
In any case, it's been an interesting experiment. I was thinking the razor was going to be ultra-aggressive even on 1, but when the blade is set right, it's really smooth.
