New Guy Check-In

Hi All,

I've been lurking about the forum for a while and finally registered not long ago. Thought I would say hello and introduce myself.

I made the switch to a Merkur DE safety razor about six years ago. I found this forum because I've recently been considering adding a straight; in researching straight razor shaving, I stumbled on the forum here, and I found a wealth of really great information. I used to be able to shave only every three days or so; I would get such bad razor burn, my face couldn't handle a shave until it healed over a couple of days. After reading through several threads here and doing some research, I made several changes to my technique, switched up a few things in my kit, and I've been shaving, quite comfortably so, every day. Love it.

This is a great place, and it seems like great folks here. I'm glad I found B&B.
