Gillette Platinum Brazil

I have seen some reviews/experience using these blades on this forum before. Its great you can pick them up on the east coast of the US (and possibly elsewhere) in CVS/Walgreens. (But a bit costly in relation to other DE blades).

However, I shaved with one for the first time and it's not a particularly sharp blade to me. For reference, I tend to prefer sharp blades and enjoy Feathers, Russian Gillette 7OC yellows, and Polsilvers more than other blades. I found the Brazilian gillette platinums pretty dull frankly in comparison. Much less sharp than a personna lab blue, which is another "goto" blade to me, but not as bad as say a Derby. In smoothness, they were just okay - (but again I much prefer a sharp blade as they are almost always smoother to me than duller blades).

Just thought I'd share my experience and compare to others... They have been viewed pretty positively so perhaps I'm in the minority. As the norm with DE blades, YMMV. Others with different experience with these blades??
