Who'da thunk it?
I'm more of a soap nut than anything. To me the soap and lather epitomize what I enjoy about shaving. I've long favored face lathering due to longer contact with the brush on my face and being able to enjoy the full frontal tactile and olfactory experience that is lathering with a nice soap. Been lathering this way pretty much exclusively for the past year and a half.
Turns out my technique needed some improvement
I started off bowl lathering and switched to face lathering after a while. I recently bought a really nice lathering bowl just to try it out more seriously... instead of just using a mug.
I've been using this beauty for the past month to brush up (*rimshot*) on my bowl lathering. I'm consistently getting thicker, creamier lather now using various soaps and brushes. I've even been able to fine tune my homemade soap recipes by better understanding how each type of soap behaves and how to get the most out of them. Face lathering now feels completely different and even more enjoyable than before.
Now, I'm curious to know if others have improved one thing only to find it markedly improved something else! Please share your experiences
Bowl lathering made me a better face latherer
