I have a feather poplar which is OK, but sometimes seems to bite a little bit. I keep thinking the blade bows a tiny bit instead of being strait. Short handled weishi. Beautiful and well made, but to light and does not seem to get all the hairs. Doro 602,does not shave neck well and gives irritation from to too much work. Long Handel weishi. Perfect weight. Shaves like a dream, mild and efficient, but have to force the blade to align properly and really crank the handle to hold the blade. It will not last long. Bought a merkur 1904 with safety bar. Beautiful and we'll made. Saddens me that it seems to not shave well, have to add an extra pass, and leave a bit of irritation on my neck. Still not a close shave. I just want a nice mild razor that works and Shaves well that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. My best most comfortable Shaves come from a 5 dollar shavette, with Astra blades snapped in half. And the long handel weishe that is a pain in the butt. But I want a nice double edge also. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I'm spending to much money trying to find a good razor. Lol.
Opinions on a good razor needed.
