Recently picked up the DFS Pure2o. I think maybe it got exposed to high heat during shipping. I don't know. For those that have used Pure2o.
I've had mine about a week.
Does yours have lumps in it? Mine developed white lumps about the size of a Q-tip head. They would get in my brush and when I rinsed it was like putty in my brush hairs. Not soap-like at all.
Tonight I stirred it up well and noticed that the scent mostly went away and was replaced by a mostly tallow scent. I also got a horrible shave. Razor burn and weepers galore. My previous shaves were all very slick and protective.
If you've used the DFS, what is your scent like? Here's the description:
- Head notes are fresh and citrusy: Tangerine, Bergamot, Lavender.
- Middle notes are floral: Jasmine, Lily of the valley, Violet.
- Bottom notes are musky and woody: Cedarwood, White musk
All I got scent wise was clean and floral. That's it. I keep
smelling it (just now) and keep thinking "What am I missing here"? The scent was light to begin with, but since mixing has gone down about 50%.
It's a thirsty soap that for me has worked best with a synthetic brush. My badgers got gummed up with lumps. Two lumps of soap actually fell out of my brush and onto my chest when lathering tonight.
