If I were to lift a SE razor to my face for the first time.

...what blade should it be loaded with?

I ask because I have what I believe to be a 20's era shovelhead inbound (yes Toby!).

I'm completely ignorant of the world of SE other than knowing the fact they are cool looking shave implements. I will have pics up next week when it's in my hot hands.

I see Perma-sharp and Gem blades on Amazon. The Perma-sharp looks like a great deal but I don't want to invest in a bulk purchase until the experts have spoken.
