Help with my straight razor shave

I just finished my 3rd SE shave (I've been shaving 1/week right now until I get the time to be shorter--though I can probably do it again tomorrow, I've also been holding off doing regular ones because I've been pretty irritated).

I have a couple problems that I know of, and probably more that I don't know of :).

I'm not sure my razor is still sharp enough?
I got a gold dollar from Scott (life2short1971) on this forum, shave-ready.

It seemed very sharp my first shave, and my 2nd shave went pretty well, but this one didn't go so well and I have various hair left over that was hard to get off with it.

Potential issues:
a) I cut up the strop pretty good my first time stropping (before even the first shave). Stropped a little before (maybe just 10 passes) and maybe 30 passes after (cut it up more).

Made maybe 1 cut in it the 2nd time I stropped, and probably not enough passes either (maybe 25 before, 30 after?)

3rd time (today) I gave it 30 passes before and over 50 passes after, no cuts to the strop.

I assume cutting into the strop is going to dull the blade a bit?

b) I find the angles really hard to get down. E.g., by my sideburns is very hard because the natural way (for me) to hold it completely blocks my eyes (my hand ends up right in front of them and I can't see what I'm doing), so I end up holding it in, e.g., my left hand for the left side of my face, with my hand near my ear, but the angle is hard from there.

My jawline especially I have trouble with. It took many passes to get it in even very rough shape (i.e., its still not anywhere near a good shave, lots of patches of stubble left in some places).
Only on my 2nd shave did I get it well, though it also took quite a few passes.

c) I haven't really been stretching my skin; I find it hard enough to try to maneuver the razor into place, trying to get another hand in there tugging on skin seemed too hard. But I'm sure this contributes to the difficulties I'm having.

Any thoughts/advice?
(BTW I've used a DE for several years, and made sure my lather was good, etc. Just mentioning that I have a few years of experience there so I'm pretty confident that my lather was ok, and not likely the issue.)
